Welcome to Cashback Planet! Erik here. I created this site initially to share shopping rewards with friends and family, then we added options to raise funds for Lion's Certified Collection Center (LCCC) and other non-profit organizations. A few years ago we made the cashback available to everyone who wants to save extra money. We have been paying out rewards to Internet users since 2008. What are your services to me?
Not only do we provide the accounting for your cash back and facilitate the cashback process, because we believe the world can be a better place when non-profits are better funded, we offer the option of donating your cashback to your favorite charity AND matching 15% of your cashback amount to that charity. Again, this is a unique offer that is found nowhere else that we know of by cashback sites. Of course, we send the fund through for you. And if you need the receipts for tax purposes, we will either provide it (if LCCC is the donee), or forward the receipts to you (if they are available from the 3rd-party charity.)

When do I get my cashback?
We calculate rewards every two months, on the "odd months" (January, March, etc.) After qualifying for a minimum reward, you typically receive your reward in three or four months*. (Read the example at the bottom of the page for more information.) If you come to us through a referral by an existing shopper, you could get your cash back even faster. Notice to shoppers who used our Amazon links in 2011:

Amazon shut down our affiliate account on September 15th, 2011, because we are located in California. The cashback from July until this point was entirely confiscated by Amazon. This was an unforeseen event, and we did not have control over that issue. Since Amazon did not give us the cashback, we didn't have it to share with you. We are very sorry!!

We were reinstated on March 5th, 2012. Clik-through purchases from this date should again, in good faith, earn rewards again.

* Most partner stores implement "waiting periods." This is the time they want us to wait before cash back can be redeemed. The purpose is to ensure there are no issues like product returns. Cashback Planet's cash back rewards are issued after the end of these periods. Amazon.com, for example, has a waiting period of two months. The two months don't include the month in which you did the shopping. And cashback rewards are issued at the BEGINNING of the following month AFTER the waiting periods. For example, if you shop in January and have made enough purchases to qualify for minimum reward by the end of January, your first cash back should be issued at the beginning of May. The two months in the waiting period are February and March in this case. But because we only calculate rewards every two months, your rewards will be issued in May.

In a similar example, if you shopped in February, you'll still receive the rewards in May. The waiting period, in this case, are March and April. And May is the first month after the waiting period.
